In 1983, Jim began his professional career at Boston-based Essex Investment Management Company, Inc., and began directing client capital in January 1987. He joined Tudor Investment Corporation as the Managing Director of the U.S. Equity Securities Group in 1993. He was a member of the Management Committee and in 2005 was named Vice Chairman. At Tudor, Jim was the principal portfolio manager for Raptor Global Funds, which he launched in 1993 with $200 million in assets under management. At its peak, Jim was responsible for managing more than $11 billion of assets under the Raptor strategy. He served as one of three members on Tudor Ventures’ Investment Committee. In 2009, Jim founded Raptor Group, a Boston-based family office firm.
Jim is President and Chairman of AS Roma as well as co-owner and executive board member of the Boston Celtics. He is a member of the board of directors of Northeastern University, the Santa Fe Institute, American Academy in Rome, and New Profit, Inc. He also serves on the Advisory Council of the MIT Media Lab and Tulco, LLC., and the External Advisory Committee for the MIT Center for Brains, Minds and Machines.
Jim received a BBA in Finance from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA with concentration in accounting from Northeastern University.
Robert is a seasoned entrepreneur, technology leader and investor with more than 30 years of experience building companies from early-stage startups to publicly-traded enterprises. He is the managing partner at GTG Capital Partners, a venture partner at Raptor Ventures, and a private equity investor having had numerous successful investment exits. In addition to Fan Manager, he is on the board of Sidecar, Tapingo, and Venture Beat.
Robert served as first senior vice president of business operations and corporate development at Zynga, and established and led Zynga's operations in Asia. During his operating career, he helped lead three companies to initial public offerings. Previously, he was managing director at Idealab, prior to which, Robert spent more than 20 years in senior management, corporate investment and strategic positions in media, e-commerce, and enterprise software companies.
Roberts holds a BS in engineering and applied science from Columbia University in New York City.
Cliff brings more than 30 years of highly successful private equity, venture capital, investment, financial, technical and media expertise to the Raptor Group. He is operating partner at Highbridge Principal Strategies and Constellation Growth Capital; chairman of Potamus Holdings LLC; board member of Phase Capital and Ouisa LLC; and investment committee member of Raptor ACRE. He serves as a director or chairman to the following companies: Revolt TV, Verance Corp.; FFE Intellectual Property; and Cold Spring Ventures.
Additionally, Cliff was a senior vice president of Universal Studios, vice president of development at NBC, and a senior managing director in the Media and Technology Group at Bear Stearns. He also led Bear Stearns’ efforts to raise $225M to launch the New Age Media Fund, Inc. and helped advise several major media and technology companies.
A director of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Cliff is active with the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, The Maurer Foundation for Breast Health Education, and North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System. He is also the recipient of the 2002 Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
Cliff earned a BSEE and an MS from NYU Polytechnic University, and an MBA from Adelphi University.
A long-time operator and investor in media, sports and entertainment, Harry is passionate about investing across the capital structure, from cradle to grave, and getting actively involved at the operational or board level. He serves as managing director of Raptor Holdco GP LLC and is a venture capital partner at Raptor Capital Management LP. He is the founder and managing partner for Hamerle Investments / Riva Ridge Ventures, a family investment company. Harry served as the managing director at Bourgeon Capital Management, LLC, which he joined in March 2005 after spending 17 years in the investment business. He co-founded Gothic Capital Management in 2000 and helped run two investment partnerships under the Gothic banner for five years. His investor leadership experience includes tenures with Credit Suisse AG, King Street Capital Management, L.P., and Knighthead Capital Management, LLC. His investment acumen has also contributed to the success of some of the world’s most innovative companies such as Armada Media, Broadcast Interactive Media, Kyazoonga, dMarc Broadcasting, Pandora, Ticket Evolution INC., Titan Outdoor, Violet Crown Cinema, Zing, Whistlebox, and the Workhorse Group Inc. Harry was ranked by Institutional Investor as one of the top analysts in his sector, as well as being named a top stock picker in media by The Wall Street Journal.
Harry received an MBA in international finance from the New York University's Stern School of Business and an AB in economics from Princeton University.
